This policy explains what information KumoTown collects when you visit kumotown.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — we’re a small toy shop, not a data company.
Who we are
KumoTown (kumotown.com) sells gachapon capsule machines, gachapon refills, fidget clickers, and other kawaii-inspired toys, shipped within the United States. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@kumotown.com.
Information we collect
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fulfill it: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and order details. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our own servers.
When you use our contact or bulk-order forms, we collect whatever you enter — typically your name, email, and message.
Like most websites, our store automatically keeps a cart/session cookie so items stay in your cart while you shop, and our hosting/caching provider may log basic technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and performance.
How we use your information
- To process and ship your order, and to contact you about it if there’s an issue.
- To respond to messages sent through our contact or bulk-order forms.
- To keep our store secure and working properly (fraud prevention, cart functionality, site performance).
- To meet legal and accounting requirements, such as keeping order records for tax purposes.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we don’t use it for anything beyond what’s listed here.
Who we share it with
We share only what’s necessary to get your order to you and keep the store running: our payment processor (to charge your order securely), our shipping carrier (to deliver your package), and our website hosting/caching provider (to keep the site online). Each of these services only receives the information it needs to do its job.
How long we keep your data
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. If you create an account with us, you can review or update your details any time from My Account, or ask us to delete your account.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except where we’re required to keep order records for legal reasons). Just email hello@kumotown.com and we’ll take care of it.
Children’s privacy
Our toys are made for ages 5 to 95, but our website and checkout are meant to be used by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the date below and, where appropriate, let customers know.
